Update: Okay, I think I have this template looking the way I want it. Had to adjust the font, among other things, but it looks dang good to me. I'm not going to enable the RSS feeds for this blog (who would read them?), but I am going to leave the corresponding buttons in place; it would look kinda bare without them, eh.

And yet another template. I do believe this one's a keeper, although I can see that I'm going to have to crack some code to get it where I want it. *sigh*

Yep, changed my template again. The "hi" template is gorgeous, but it's a little too "cold" for a blog. So I went with one of Blogger's stock templates again. What the heck -- it'll serve its purpose until I come up with something else.
I'm bored. *sigh*

One more test post. Here's Lillian Gish:

Well, my latest addition to this blog is that "Archive" dropdown menu over there on the left. Installing it wasn't a problem, as I still had the snippet of code I needed leftover from my old train site's source code. Getting it positioned so it was properly centered was a bit more challenging. In the end, I had to position it through the CSS. Even after I did that, it STILL wasn't positioned properly in IE (it was overlayed on the "hi" image). A couple of "break" tags later, and all was well in both SeaMonkey and IE. That reminds me -- I need to put a "Get SeaMonkey" button on this site somewhere. Hmmm...
The more I work with this stuff, the more I learn {:-)
P.S. I also added a new separator between each post. I borrowed THAT from my old train site, as well.

Remember this template? I decided it was about time to convert it to a Blogger template. Still have some work to do on it, but so far, so good. I fell in love with this design the first time I saw it. Don't know what I'm going to do with all those links up top, though.
I've decided to take a minimalist approach to this blog this time around. As you can see, there isn't even a "Links" list over in the sidebar this time. I just don't give a flying crap; I've got my train site and the greenhouse site -- both of which are intended to be seen by bunches of people -- this one, on the other hand, is just going to be a place for me to blab about stuff I feel like blabbing about. Don't really feel like making it fancy. I ain't a-going to worry about typos, either, so if I misspell something... so be it. Harumph!
Here's another post. Just getting a feel for the new template. So blah, blah, blah, blah.
